Job summary

TekWissen Group in Southfield, MI is seeking a Design Engineer 2 to own design, validation, and launch of automotive interior components. You will create CAD models and drawings, write DFMEAs and validation plans, and collaborate across Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and suppliers.

This onsite role supports prototype builds and production launches during a 7-month assignment. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in automotive interior development, strong CATIA CAD skills, and a proven

Qualifications

5+ years design, validation, release, and launch experience.
Experience in automotive interior component development.
CATIA CAD proficiency required.
Full product lifecycle ownership experience.
Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

Design and develop automotive interior components and systems.
Create CAD models, engineering drawings, DVP&R, DFMEAs, validation plans, and releases.
Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Marketing, Program Management, and suppliers.
Lead supplier reviews, feasibility assessments, sourcing support, and tooling discussions.
Support prototype builds, validation testing, and production launches.
