Contechs Consulting Limited is seeking a Design & Release Engineer – Interior Mechanisms for a contract role in Troy, Michigan. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a mechanical/automotive discipline is required.
• 5+ years of automotive mechanism system engineering experience.
• Experience with APQP/PPAP processes and regulatory alignment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, validation and launch of phone/iPad holder systems.
• Ensure packaging compatibility and system-level functionality with cockpit and console.
• Define kinematics and one-handed usability requirements.
• Lead interfaces with HVAC, body structures and electrical systems.
• Coordinate with adjacent teams to ensure integration meets objectives.
• Review tests, loads and reports for internal and external validation.
• Support prototype builds, DV/PV and launch readiness.
