Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of practical automotive experience required.
• ASE certifications valued; employer may pay for certification if not current.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Patient and empathetic approach to teaching.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and educate: create an engaging learning environment for students in auto mechanics.
• Hands-on training: demonstrate diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing small engines with real-world context.
• Curriculum development: collaborate to improve current courses and develop new ones aligned with industry trends.
• Mentorship: guide and mentor students on individual projects and problem-solving.
• Safety first: emphasize safe practices to ensure a secure classroom and shop.
