Job summary

Georgia Department of Revenue is seeking an Instructor for Automotive Evenings/Weekends to teach and supervise students in Automotive Technology. The role involves developing course outlines, preparing lesson plans, and evaluating progress while maintaining safety and program documentation.

The successful applicant will have a diploma in Automotive Technology and ASE Master Certification with G1, A6, A5, A4, and L1, plus automotive repair experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in automotive education preferred? (Not required)
• Must hold ASE Master Certified Maintenance and Light Repair (G1)
• Automotive Technology diploma or equivalent credential required
• One year or more of automotive repair experience requested
• Teaching experience preferred (minimum one year)

Responsibilities

• Instructs and supervises students in Automotive Technology.
• Develops program and course outlines, goals, and objectives; prepares lesson plans for credited technical/occupational courses.
• Evaluates student progress and maintains required documentation and reports.
• Ensures safety in the training area and supports recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.
