Job summary

General Motors in Michigan seeks an Infotainment Test Automation Engineer to execute manual and automated test scripts for the infotainment platform, configure benches, and document defects linking failures to requirements.

You will develop test cases, support automation with new scripts, and coordinate weekly build promotions with sanity tests within a cross-functional Software Defined Vehicle team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/ISE/SWE/EE or related field
• Five years of experience in Infotainment Test Automation/QA
• Or Master’s degree with three years experience
• Experience testing Android apps on embedded systems
• Automotive IT/QA experience and CI/CD testing
• Knowledge of Scrum/Agile development
• Flashing images and setting up hardware for embedded systems
• Vehicle networks CAN/MOST/Ethernet

Responsibilities

• Execute manual and automated test scripts to verify infotainment requirements
• Configure benches for specific test scenarios
• Document defects with steps to reproduce and link to requirements
• Develop and update test cases as required
• Support automation with new scripts for robust features
• Collaborate with Software Defined Vehicle team on defect resolution
• Manage weekly build promotions, sanity tests, and escalation
