Job summary

Pep Boys is now part of the Mavis Tire family. We are seeking full-time General Service Technicians to join Team Mavis at our Columbus, GA area centers.

No prior automotive experience is required; we provide paid training and opportunities for career growth. As a General Service Technician, you will perform essential maintenance and tire services, including mounting/dismounting tires, oil changes, fluid checks, and inspections.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on automotive environment.
• Have a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality service.
• Previous automotive experience is a plus, but not required. Paid training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires.
• Performing flat tire repairs
• Completing oil and filter changes
• Checking and topping off vehicle fluids
• Performing basic vehicle maintenance and inspections
• Identifying visible tire and maintenance concerns
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Following established safety and service procedures
• Helping ensure quality service and timely completion of customer vehicles
