Job summary

AAA Club Alliance is actively hiring a General Service Technician to join our Richmond shop. You will perform basic maintenance, tire work, and inspections while advancing toward higher-level technician roles.

The role offers paid training, eligibility for ASE certifications, and opportunities for growth within a family-friendly environment. Base pay is $16.37–$23.02 per hour, with full-time scheduling and benefits. Training and development are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of automotive systems; PC-based diagnostic tools a plus.
• Prior automotive maintenance or repair experience strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with the team.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings (background, drug, fitness for duty).

Responsibilities

• Mount, balance, and install tires.
• Perform maintenance services including oil changes, fluid flush and replacement, belt and hose replacement, battery testing and replacement, and general automotive repairs.
• Conduct visual vehicle inspections and document findings.
• Maintain and clean shop equipment, including servicing portable fluid drains per shop guidelines.
• Build automotive knowledge and technical skills for career growth.
• Other duties as assigned.

AAA Club Alliance is actively hiring a General Service Technician to join our team! If you have hands-on experience with basic automotive maintenance and want to grow your career in a fast-paced shop, we want to hear from you. At AAA, we provide the training and support to help you build your skills and advance into higher-level technician roles.

Location: 7009 Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23294

What We Offer:

• Competitive Pay: $16.37 - $23.02/hour. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
• Schedule: Full-time, 5 days/week (Mondays, Fridays & Saturdays are often required). Sundays off every week, plus one other day off based on business needs.
• Training & Growth: Paid training, Paid ASE Certifications & opportunities to advance into higher-level technician roles.

Your Impact as an Automotive General Service Technician:
