Job summary

Amaze Systems is urgently seeking a Senior Functional Safety Lead to own ISO 26262 safety activities for high-voltage battery systems. You will drive safety deliverables, engage with engineering teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure safety requirements are defined, implemented, verified, and maintained through the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 6+ yrs experience in Automotive Functional Safety.
• Experience with ISO 26262 and safety analyses (FMEDA/DFMEA/FTA).
• High-voltage battery systems knowledge and hardware/software interface understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead functional safety work products and ISO 26262 activities across development lifecycle.
• Define, implement, verify, and maintain safety requirements and deliverables.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers and customers on safety evidence.
• Develop and maintain safety analyses and safety case artifacts.

Job Description & Skill Requirement

The Senior Functional Safety Engineer serves as the technical owner for Functional Safety work products and is responsible for leading the technical execution of ISO 26262 functional safety activities throughout the product development lifecycle for high-voltage lithium-ion battery systems at Client company .This position develops and maintains the technical safety deliverables and evidence required to support compliant product development. The Senior Functional Safety Engineer works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, suppliers, and customers to ensure Functional Safety requirements are effectively defined, implemented, verified, and maintained throughout the development lifecycle.

• 6+ yrs experience in Automotive Functional Safety
• Prepared Design document, BOM, Test plans, Component Selection and Cost Optimization (VAVE).
• Functional Safety Analysis (FuSA) using ISO26262 std performing DFMEA, FMEDA, DFA, FTA (Tool- Ansys Medini& MS Excel).
• Analysis of WCCA (Worst Case Circuit Analysis) using Mathcad and MS Excel.
• High level block diagram, Schematic capture, BOM), PCB Layout design & guidelines
• Involved in Hardware Design, Testing & Development (End-End Product Development)
