Job summary

El Paso County, Colorado, USA, is seeking an Automotive Technician II/III for the Fleet Division. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs of light-duty vehicles, landscape equipment, and attachments to keep our community moving.

You will work from the Fleet shop, use diagnostic tools, and collaborate with experienced technicians. The position includes an on-call after-hours component and opportunities to advance within the Technician series.

Qualifications

Must provide own basic mechanic tools to perform essential job functions.
Knowledge of automotive and small equipment preventive maintenance.
Ability to diagnose system faults with diagnostic equipment.
Proficient with office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Comfort working with laptops and data entry for daily work logs.

Responsibilities

Performs preventive maintenance services according to the service checklist.
Performs minor repairs and maintenance on light-duty vehicles, small equipment, and attachments.
Uses diagnostic equipment to identify malfunctions.
Supports on-call after hours for emergencies.
Assists with more advanced repairs under supervision.
