Job summary

Preston Auto Group is seeking a motivated Automotive Flat Rate Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain customer vehicles to manufacturer standards in a fast-paced dealership setting. You'll work with a skilled team and modern diagnostic equipment.

The role includes performing repairs, testing, and communicating needs to the Service Advisor, while keeping the shop organized and recording parts and time accurately. Ongoing training and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of automotive technician experience preferred.
• ASE certification a plus, or willingness to obtain.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Own tools preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance per manufacturer and dealership standards
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and computer system issues
• Road test vehicles and use diagnostic equipment as needed
• Communicate additional repair needs to the Service Advisor
• Keep the shop clean, organized, and stocked with necessary tools and parts
• Maintain an accurate record of parts and time on each repair order
