Job summary

Filtran is seeking a Design / Project Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced filtration systems for automotive powertrain applications. You will bring concepts to production, act as the primary technical liaison to customers, and manage projects end-to-end.

You will create CAD models and drawings, ensure manufacturability and cost-optimized designs, and collaborate with test labs, quality, manufacturing, sales, and sourcing teams to meet milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Experience in product design (professional or internship).
• Proficient in Creo with modeling best practices and optimization via simulation/test results.
• Ability to interpret detailed engineering and testing specifications.
• Familiarity with automotive quality standards and processes.
• Hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams and problem-solving.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative filtration products using Creo and create 3D CAD models and drawings.
• Lead technical discussions in customer meetings and track open items.
• Coordinate test fixtures and validation activities per standards.
• Prepare and maintain engineering docs, BOMs, and ECNs.
• Support cost-reduction efforts and design reviews.
• Contribute to new product innovation and R&D initiatives.
