Job summary

ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector to join our growing team. You will inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease to detect damage and mechanical issues, then prepare condition reports and cost estimates for clients on ACV’s digital platform.

You will travel to dealerships and homes, take photos, and help drive sales through up-sell or cross-sell of services while delivering exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in automobile field with customer service background.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to work outside in the elements for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Partner with a Territory Manager and a team of Inspectors, conduct inspections of vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease, to detect damage, missing parts and mechanical problems.
• Prepare and submit a report of vehicle condition, repair/replacement cost estimates, and related documentation.
• Help sales team up-sell or cross-sell services and products.
• Interface regularly with our dealers to develop and ensure client satisfaction and build strong relationships.
• Travel to and from dealerships and homes to inspect, and write condition reports, list vehicles to sell on the auction platform.
• Take multiple, overall, and damage photos and upload them to the image server.
• List inspected wholesale vehicles utilizing ACV Auctions platform for bidding and purchasing.
• Sign up independent dealerships as buyers to utilize ACV Auctions digital platform.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
