Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Feature Assurance Engineer in Dearborn, MI, to drive validation across multiple vehicle systems. You will craft feature validation plans, coordinate test environments (Breadboard/HiL/vehicle) and ensure milestones align with program timelines.

Responsibilities include leading defect triage, signoffs, and DRP planning, while maintaining comprehensive test artifacts in Jira and communicating progress to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in an Engineering Discipline.
• Automotive Industry Experience 3+ years.
• Experience with one or more listed vehicle systems (Battery Management & Charging, Climate Control, Infotainment or Instrument Clusters, Powertrain or Driveline, Connectivity, Digital Keys, Enclosure, Seat/restraints).

Responsibilities

• Follow and deliver Feature Assurance Engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate feature validation plan execution and support.
• Lead triaging and issues resolution during the feature development cycle.
• Develop and lead DRP approval for non-conformance signoffs.
• Maintain Jira tickets and dashboards for full traceability.
