Job summary

Holler Classic Family of Dealerships in Columbia, South Carolina is seeking an Automotive Express Service Technician for Holler Nissan of Columbia. The role involves performing vehicle repair and maintenance to dealer and factory standards, using up-to-date Hunter equipment and organized tools across the shop.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance required.
• Two years of technician helper or related dealership experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record necessary.
• Ability to pass background screening and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required oil.
• Inspect fluid levels in steering, transmission, differential, and related components.
• Check tire air pressure and inspect for wear.
• Lubricate moving parts with appropriate lubricants.
• Inject grease into suspension and steering components as needed.
• Inspect radiator, battery, and replace oil/air filters as required.
• Complete MPI inspection and document findings for service advisor.
• Work requires standing/walking for extended periods.

The Express Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. We have the latest Hunter equipment throughout the shop and service areas. We also have all manufacturer tools organized and catalogued for ease of use.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

• Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil.
• Inspect fluid levels of steering gear, power steering reservoir, transmission, differential, rear axle housings, and shackles
• Check air pressure of tires
• Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
• Inject grease into units, such as springs, universal joints and steering knuckles, using hand or compressed-air powered grease gun when available
• Add water to radiator and battery
• Replace oil and air filters
• Inspect all vehicles for additional repairs needed
• Completes thorough MPI inspection and record findings to service advisor
• Requires walking or standing for an extended period of time

Minimum Qualifications:

• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
• Two years of experience as a technician’s helper or apprentice in an automobile dealership or Automotive Technical School
• Good judgment
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Pass background screening requirement
• Reliable transportation
