Job summary

Apex Test Labs in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking an EMC Test Technician to join our automotive testing team. The EMC Test Technician will perform EMC/EMI and related compliance testing on automotive electronic systems and components, using lab equipment and applying CISPR 25, ISO 11452, ISO 10605, ECE R10, FCC/CE standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on lab experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work on-site in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years of EMC/EMI testing experience in automotive or related sectors.
• Experience testing to CISPR 25, ISO 11452, ISO 10605, ECE R10, FCC.
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and RF test equipment.
• Ability to read schematics and electrical diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting, detail orientation, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work on-site full-time in Auburn Hills, MI.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate EMC/EMI test equipment and fixtures.
• Conduct emissions and immunity tests on automotive electronics.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment.
• Read electrical schematics and project drawings.
• Document procedures and results in technical reports.
• Collaborate with engineers and customers to resolve issues.
• Maintain safety and equipment readiness in the lab.
