Job summary

LinHR is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer for a full-time role in Moraine, OH. You will own the embedded software lifecycle for automotive-grade systems, working closely with hardware teams to deliver robust code.

Responsibilities include design, implementation, testing, and optimization in C/C++ with RTOS. You will participate in code reviews, safety/compliance activities, and documentation efforts while supporting post-release field issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or CS.
Hands-on embedded software experience on microcontroller targets.
Strong C/C++ skills for embedded systems and debugging.
Experience with RTOS and hardware interfaces (UART/SPI/I2C/CAN).

Responsibilities

Design and implement software for embedded devices from requirements to deployment.
Develop, test, and debug system software for MCUs/MPUs in C/C++.
Collaborate with hardware engineers to define software interfaces.
Analyze and optimize code for efficiency, memory, and timing.
Integrate hardware/software and perform board bring-up.
Create unit/integration tests and use debugging tools.
Review code for standards, safety, and quality.
Support QA, investigate defects, and drive fixes.
Document designs, interfaces, and maintenance notes.
Stay current with tools, RTOS, protocols, and trends.
