Job summary

MOBIS North America seeks an Embedded Software Engineer- Bootloader to join the Infotainment Displays team. You will work on automotive HUD, ICs, and display software, focusing on bootloader and low-level firmware bring-up in a real-time environment.

Responsibilities include I2C diagnostics, memory mapping, and robust firmware updates, with collaboration across local and HQ teams to ensure system performance and automotive compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electronics/electrical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of software development with ARM/C in real-time multi-threaded OS.
• Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and modern workflows.
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot software and propose solutions.
• Strong cross-team communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Implement and test diagnostic routines and data transfers via I2C.
• Develop board bring-up, low-level drivers, and troubleshoot startup issues.
• Assist memory mapping, flash drivers, partitioning, and bank-switching for firmware updates.
• Contribute to software lifecycle for automotive display/infotainment using V-model.
• Create software requirements, design docs, and code per automotive specs.
• Develop system test plans and robust test case scenarios.
• Support engineering/product validation and vehicle quality events.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external customers.
• Engage with customers on future product definitions and issue resolutions.
