Job summary

Motive Workforce in Santa Clarita, CA, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to develop and integrate advanced electrical systems for high-performance vehicle programs. This hands-on role involves 3D/2D design, wire harness development, high-voltage components, prototypes, and vehicle integration.

You will collaborate with engineers and suppliers to turn concepts into hardware, troubleshoot issues, and support projects from development through assembly and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering.
• 3 to 5+ years of electrical design experience; automotive, motorsports, or aerospace preferred.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 or 3DEXPERIENCE.
• Hands-on experience with wire harness design and high-voltage systems.
• Understanding of engineering drawings, BOMs, and tolerance stack-ups.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for supplier visits, testing, or track support.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical components, subsystems, wire harnesses, and high-voltage systems.
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings using CATIA V5/V6 or 3DEXPERIENCE.
• Support prototype builds, assembly trials, and manufacturing activities.
• Develop BOMs, perform tolerance stack-ups, and support DFM reviews.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot design and build issues and support testing activities.
