Job summary

Axelera AI is seeking a hands-on Automotive Application Engineer to test and adapt our edge-AI stack for automotive workloads, including ADAS and perception. You will translate market needs into test criteria, port and quantize workloads, and benchmark against competitors, contributing to roadmaps and safety-focused software.

Based in Europe with flexible remote options, you will collaborate with R&D, product and safety teams to deliver demonstrators and validated results across environments

Qualifications

• 4–8 years in embedded software or application engineering, in automotive or automotive semiconductors.
• Strong embedded C and Python for tooling/test automation.
• Real-time systems and safety-qualified development (ISO 26262).
• Embedded Linux with exposure to QNX or AUTOSAR.
• Bench/HIL testing and characterization across the automotive temperature range.
• Fluent English; ~15% travel for consortium meetings.

Responsibilities

• Validate the stack against market and customer requirements with reports.
• Benchmark automotive use cases and build reproducible suites.
• Prototype runtime integration into automotive environments (Linux/QNX, AUTOSAR).
• Contribute to safety-focused software stack with the Safety Manager.
• Lead technical work packages in R&D consortia and align with roadmap.
• Track AI/ADAS trends and translate into recommendations for product.
