Performs skilled work of considerable difficulty involving repairing, overhauling and maintenance of diesel engines and a variety of automotive, construction and related equipment. Work involves diagnosing malfunctions in light and heavy motorized equipment, removing and replacing or rebuilding worn or broken parts, and maintaining records of work performed. Employee is also responsible for maintaining inventories of replacement parts and supplies; and related work as required.

A rating of training and experience, weighted 100%. All related previous experience will be considered for qualification purposes; however, credit on the rating of training and experience will only be given for experience gained within the last ten (10) years.
