Job summary

Harbinger Motors in California is seeking an Automotive Software Engineer to support the Baux Project, chassis, and generator project. You will develop a Diagnostics Tool for core products and R&D, including a proof‑of‑concept for an Android Tablet, and work onsite with hardware and the End of Line team.

The role requires hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics (UDS, CAN, ODX), Python and C++, unit testing, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to ensure quality software delivery

Qualifications

• Automotive software engineering experience (UDS, CAN, ODX).
• Proficiency in Python and C++.
• Strong understanding of Diagnostics and Unit Testing.
• Experience using diagnostic services (UDS) on Ethernet, CAN, and LIN.
• Familiarity with automotive diagnostic tools like CANdela Studio.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams (EOL/Service) for fault troubleshooting.
• Experience validating diagnostics on hardware/vehicle platforms.
• Experience with model-based and hand-coded software requirements.
• Familiarity with Safety processes (ISO 26262) and software architecture standards.
• Designing and executing test cases for diagnostics across ECU/system levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop a Diagnostics Tool to interact with Harbinger's core products and upcoming R&D.
• Interface with vehicles and the End of Line team.
• Perform unit testing and ensure high-quality software delivery.
