Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair problems with engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and related systems.
• Test to ensure systems and components are secure and functioning properly.
• Drive the vehicle for testing or use diagnostic equipment.
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
• Follow a checklist to inspect critical parts of the vehicle.
• Inspect hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes, and other components.
• Use power tools and machine tools to perform repairs.
• Use hand tools to work on parts.
• Write vehicle damage repair estimates.
