Job summary

BMW of Denver Downtown, part of the Sonic Automotive family, is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our service team. This role diagnoses, repairs, and maintains vehicles to manufacturer and dealership standards, delivering high-quality work and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of automotive technician experience, strong diagnostic and repair skills, and ASE or manufacturer certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of automotive technician experience, preferably in a franchised dealership.
• Strong diagnostic, repair, and maintenance skills across vehicle systems.
• ASE and/or manufacturer certifications preferred; willingness to pursue training.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to manufacturer and dealership standards.
• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles.
• Accurately diagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance issues.
• Complete repair orders clearly and efficiently, documenting all work performed.
• Perform warranty repairs per manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards in the service department.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems.
• Communicate with service advisors regarding repairs and timelines.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Stay up to date with manufacturer training and certifications.
