Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Lenexa, KS seeks an Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and service vehicles. This full-time, flat-rate position offers a 75% hourly guarantee and opportunities to advance through ASE certification and ongoing training.

Ideal candidates have at least three years of automotive repair experience or military vehicle maintenance, with a valid driver's license and flexibility for evenings and weekends. ASE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

Three years' automotive repair experience or three years in military vehicle maintenance.
Valid driver's license and ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred: ASE A4 (Steering & Suspension) and A5 (Brakes) Certifications, state inspection license, or MAC certification.

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, and repair automotive systems including brakes, suspension, alignment, engine performance, air conditioning, and coolant systems.
Troubleshoot problems and demonstrate strong diagnostic skills using the latest technology.
Mentor teammates and continually learn new techniques as automotive technology evolves.
Maintain high standards of safety, service, and housekeeping while using protective equipment.
Perform manual tasks such as lifting tires/wheels and standing, bending, and squatting for extended periods.
