Job summary

Wheeldrom in Aurora, Illinois is seeking an experienced A-Level or B-Level Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair a diverse mix of domestic, Asian, and European vehicles. The job emphasizes diagnostics, electrical systems, engines, and transmissions, with heated bays and provided shop tools.

Qualifications

4+ years of automotive repair experience for B-Level consideration.
Intermediate to advanced diagnostic ability for electrical, engine, and transmission issues.
Ability to perform clutch, timing chain and valve-related repairs.
Experience with Audi, Honda, classic vehicles or a broad mix of makes/models is valuable.
ASE certifications preferred but not required; employer pays for certification.
Digital vehicle inspection and Shopmonkey experience preferred; willing to learn.

Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns and perform accurate repairs.
Repair engine and transmission components including clutch and timing chain.
Troubleshoot electrical systems using diagnostic equipment.
Identify repairs and recommend preventive maintenance based on vehicle condition.
Work on domestic, Asian, and European vehicles including Audi and Honda.
Complete digital vehicle inspections when applicable using Shopmonkey.
Assist with parts ordering as needed.
For mobile work, diagnose and repair at customer locations independently.
