Job summary

VOSS Automotive, Inc., USA is seeking a Development Engineer in Fort Wayne, Indiana to join the costings/engineering team. The role focuses on creating validation plans, designing products for customer applications, and supporting R&D activities.

You will collaborate with diverse project teams, including coordinating with German colleagues, and develop CAD models and drawings to meet functional, manufacturability, quality, cost, and performance targets.

Qualifications

• Degree in design or mechanical engineering required or equivalent.
• 5+ years' experience in engineering, preferably in automotive.
• Automotive electronics knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop validation plans for product lines and customer applications.
• Design and engineer products for customer applications.
• Plan, coordinate, and support R&D activities.
• Collaborate with multiple project teams and German colleagues.
• Create 3D CAD models and drawings meeting specs and cost targets.
• Analyze test results to confirm design capability.
• Interface with customers to build technical relationships.
