Job summary

LaFontaine Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Detailer to clean both the interior and exterior of New and Used vehicles for the lot or customer delivery. You will help maintain showroom quality and assist with routine detailing tasks as part of a collaborative team.

The role requires 1+ year of detailing experience and a valid driver’s license. We offer a benefits package and employee discounts, plus opportunities for growth within the family-owned group.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• 1+ years of Automotive Detailing experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good work ethic, organized, and positive attitude are a must.

Responsibilities

• Wash vehicle interiors and exteriors using cleaning solutions, water, cloths, and brushes.
• Clean engine to remove grease and debris.
• Buff and polish paint as needed.
• Apply specialty cleaners to remove stains and contaminants per product guidelines.
• Complete training as directed by supervisor and OSHA right-to-know training.
• Follow Employee Handbook policies; perform any other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Driver’s License
• 1+ years of Automotive Detailing experience
• Ability to complete tasks on your own as well with a team.
• Good work ethic organized, and positive attitude are a must.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Use of a polishing wheel preferred.
• One or moreyears of related experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Wash vehicle, using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes.
• Clean engine to remove grease and other materials.
• Buff/Polish paint as necessary.
• Apply special purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, following recommendations of the product’s manufacturer.
• Complete all training as directed by supervisor.
• Complete OSHA right-to-know training.
• Follow policies and procedures as set forth in Employee Handbook.
• Any other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
• Frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, scrub.
• Frequently, exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.
