Job summary

California Motors Direct Corp. is hiring a Dealership Automotive Detailer to keep vehicles in top condition and visually appealing for sale.

You will work on-site in Santa Ana, report to sales managers, and contribute to customer impressions and sales through meticulous detailing and organization. The role requires basic high school education, at least 1 year of detailing experience, and the ability to operate both manual and automatic vehicles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of experience as an auto detailer or similar role.
• Ability to operate both manual and automatic vehicles.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and techniques for various vehicle surfaces.
• Ability to use detailing equipment (pressure washer, polisher, vacuums).
• Good physical condition to stand, bend, lift for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cleaning, polishing, and waxing of vehicles to high standards.
• Remove dirt, grime, and stains using appropriate products and equipment.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets and upholstery.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and interior surfaces.
• Apply protective coatings to paint, leather, and other surfaces as required.
• Inspect vehicles for damage and report issues to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Meet daily production targets and follow safety procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for keeping the dealership lot organized, clean, and visually appealing, ensuring all vehicles are properly staged and ready for sale. This position plays a key part in our success, as the appearance and organization of our inventory directly influence customer impressions and sales. You will report directly to the Sales Managers.

Qualifications:

• Ability to operate both manual and automatic vehicles

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under shop insurance policy (Not an excluded driver)
• Bilingual, (Preferred but not necessary)

Essential Duties, but not limited to:

• Perform detailed cleaning, polishing, and waxing of vehicles to a high standard of cleanliness and appearance
• Remove dirt, grime, and stains from vehicles using a range of cleaning products and equipment
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets and upholstery
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other interior surfaces
• Apply protective coatings to paint, leather, and other surfaces as required
• Inspect vehicles for damage or wear and report any issues to the supervisor
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Work efficiently to meet daily production targets
• Adhere to company safety protocols and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Salary Range: $18.50 to $20.50 hourly
