Job summary

California Motors Direct is seeking an experienced Detailer in Fontana, CA to keep our dealership inventory clean, organized, and visually appealing for sale. You’ll detail, wax, and prep vehicles for display, reporting to Sales Managers daily.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year in auto detailing, with a valid driver’s license. This is a full-time on-site role offering competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• At least 1 year of experience as an auto detailer or similar role.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cleaning, polishing, and waxing of vehicles to a high standard.
• Remove dirt, grime, and stains using cleaning products and equipment.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets and upholstery.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and interior surfaces.
• Apply protective coatings to paint, leather, and other surfaces as required.
• Inspect vehicles for damage or wear and report issues to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Work efficiently to meet daily production targets.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for keeping the dealership lot organized, clean, and visually appealing, ensuring all vehicles are properly staged and ready for sale. This position plays a key part in our success, as the appearance and organization of our inventory directly influence customer impressions and sales. You will report directly to the Sales Managers.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• At least 1 year of experience as an auto detailer or similar role
• Ability to operate both manual and automatic vehicles
• Knowledge of cleaning products and techniques for various vehicle surfaces
• Ability to use a range of detailing equipment, such as pressure washers, polishers, and vacuums
• Good physical condition with the ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods of time
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work outside in various weather conditions

• Ability to demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver's license
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under shop insurance policy (Not an excluded driver)
• Bilingual, (Preferred but not necessary)
