Job summary

California Motor Direct is seeking an experienced Dealership Automotive Detailer to join our team in Fontana, CA. You will keep the dealership lot organized, clean, and visually appealing, ensuring vehicles are staged and ready for sale.

Report to Sales Managers and contribute to customer impressions and sales. The position offers competitive hourly wages, paid vacation/sick time, health/dental/vision insurance, a 401K with match, and life/AD&D coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• At least 1 year of experience as an auto detailer or similar role
• Ability to operate both manual and automatic vehicles
• Knowledge of cleaning products and techniques for various vehicle surfaces
• Ability to use a range of detailing equipment, such as pressure washers, polishers, and vacuums
• Good physical condition with the ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods of time
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work outside in various weather conditions
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA
• Ability to demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver's license
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under shop insurance policy (Not an excluded driver)
• Bilingual, (Preferred but not necessary)

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cleaning, polishing, and waxing of vehicles to a high standard of cleanliness and appearance
• Remove dirt, grime, and stains from vehicles using a range of cleaning products and equipment
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets and upholstery
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other interior surfaces
• Apply protective coatings to paint, leather, and other surfaces as required
• Inspect vehicles for damage or wear and report any issues to the supervisor
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Work efficiently to meet daily production targets
• Adhere to company safety protocols and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
