• Use cleaning, protective, and restorative agents to maintain vehicle appearance.
• Inspect and keep records of each vehicle’s condition.
• Identify and complete repairs efficiently to minimize re-work.
• Maintain safety to prevent spills or hazards in the shop.
• Collaborate with Reconditioning Center Management on inventory quality.

Job Overview

The Auto Detailer is responsible for tracking and monitoring the maintenance of DriveTime vehicles and ensuring they look clean and neat.

Primary Responsibilities

• Stock vehicles when they arrive from auction.
• Prepare and move vehicles around the Reconditioning Center for distribution to retail.
• Detail vehicles—wash and buff, perform minor paint touch‑ups, vacuum interior, and clean any additional surfaces.
• Use cleaning, protective, and restorative agents to maintain and enhance the appearance of vehicles.
• Perform inspections and keep complete, accurate records of each vehicle’s condition.
• Identify and complete repairs effectively the first time to minimize re‑work and production delays.
• Work in ways that decrease the possibility of injury to yourself or other team members in the shop due to spills or other preventable hazardous conditions.
• Collaborate with Reconditioning Center Management to repair or reject inventory based on estimated repair cost and/or overall vehicle quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable DMV status required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to communicate in English to ensure effective performance in a safety‑sensitive/technical environment.
