QA1 is seeking a Design Engineer to join our Lakeville, MN or Mooresville, NC team. You will design and prototype components, focusing on motion control, dampers, chassis, suspension, and electromechanical systems.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field and 2–4 years of automotive design experience, with strong 3D modeling, SolidWorks, and experience with design for manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Automotive industry experience with suspension knowledge.
• Advanced solid modeling experience; SolidWorks preferred.
• Experience with machining, sheet metal, casting processes.
• Knowledge of FEA, metrology tools, and 3D printing.
• Ability to perform complex design calculations and tolerances.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Spearhead design and prototype projects using engineering principles.
• Create part models and assemblies in CAD.
• Analyze and reverse engineer components.
• Design for manufacturing to optimize production.
• Ensure smooth product launch to production.
• Specify materials, hardness, surface finishes, and tolerances.
• Participate in cross-functional design reviews.
