Job summary

Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Controller at Valley Hyundai and Genesis of Aurora in Aurora, Illinois. The role provides sales and expense analyses for all departments and maintains accurate records to reflect the dealership's financial condition.

You will develop controls for proper business conduct and report to management on financial trends and cash needs. The position requires five years of dealership office management or controller experience, proficiency with CDK,

Qualifications

• Five years of Dealership Office Manager/Controller experience.
• Ability to explain technical financial information in an understandable manner.
• Working knowledge of dealership financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the Financial accounting system and personnel.
• Prepare complete financial statements and submit to management in accordance with established timeframes.
• Interpret and analyze financial statements and communicate trends to GM.
• Keep the General Manager informed on the cash needs of the business.
• Develop and maintain an effective cash management system.
• Close the books accurately each month and submit required reports.
• Manage and safeguard store assets and ensure internal controls are in place.
• Assist department managers in reading and interpreting financial reports.

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is looking for an Automotive Controller in Aurora, Illinois. Located at Napleton's Valley Hyundai and Genesis of Aurora, the Controller provides sales and expense analyses for all department, fairly represents the financial condition of the dealership, develops controls necessary for the proper conduct of the business, and maintains accurate records Valley Hyundai is the largest volume Hyundai dealership in the Midwest and a multiple time winner of the Hyundai Board of Excellence award. The 45,000 square foot facility sits on 6 acres. And Valley Hyundai and Genesis of Aurora recently went through an extensive remodel. Responsibilities

• Attracting, developing, and retaining the very best talent for the office
• Prepare complete financial statements and submit to the manufacturer and management in accordance with established timeframes
• Interpret and analyze financial statements
• Keep the General Manager informed on the trends and cash needs of the business
• Develop and maintain an effective cash management system
• Close the books accurately each month
• Prepare and submit required statements and reports
• Manage and safeguard the stores assets and ensure that internal controls are in place
• Assist department managers in reading and interpreting their financial reports and in creating action plans needed to improve their operation
• Respond to request for information and assistance in a timely manner
• Work with General Manager to improve revenue or reduce expense to meet or exceed budget

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Five years of Dealership Office Manager/Controller experience
• CDK experience is required
• Working knowledge of dealership financial statements
• Ability to explain technical financial information in an understandable manner
