Job summary

Urban Science is seeking an intern to join our Fall 2026 program in Long Beach, CA. The role offers hybrid workplace flexibility and requires up to 20 hours per week as part of an academic semester, providing hands-on experience with data analysis and client reporting using Excel, Access, and SQL.

Qualifications

• Fundamental database concepts to complete client requests.
• MS Excel for charting, formulas, filtering and formatting data.
• Basic programming knowledge and strong math grounding.
• Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing priorities.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, deliver client-requested reports and projects on time.
• Work with databases using Urban Science software.
• Process and analyze data with MS Excel and Access.
• Support client projects and ad hoc requests within schedules.
• Improve data communication across sources such as dealership metrics.
• Adhere to quality standards and assist with other duties as assigned.
