Torc Robotics, a leader in autonomous trucking, is hiring an Entry-Level Automotive Cybersecurity Engineer in Michigan. You will assist in securing hardware ECUs and collaborate with Tier-1 suppliers to meet AUTOSAR/ISO security standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on security testing, cryptography, and secure communication within vehicle networks, with growth into responsible security architecture tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years in cybersecurity, embedded systems, or automotive engineering.
• Embedded fundamentals: RTOS, microcontrollers, C/C++ knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Define security requirements for hardware and ECUs (Secure Boot, HSM, PKI).
• Coordinate with Tier-1 suppliers on cybersecurity requirements and issues.
• Perform TARAs to identify attack vectors and risk levels.
• Evaluate security controls for CAN/CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet, LIN networks.
• Assist with security verification, static/dynamic analysis, and pentesting.
• Ensure alignment with ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE UN R155/R156.
