Position Summary
Contribute to the growth of the organization across all lines of business through customer engagement, expert product and service knowledge, follow-up, and follow-through at the service desk, on the sales floor, and at the register.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers via phone and in-store. Engage customers, schedule appointments, build trust, understand needs, communicate processes and timelines, and sell parts and services to optimize vehicle performance. Adhere to Company Customer Care standards to meet customer expectations.
- Organize and manage the service business operations through work order and register transactions, vehicle inspections, and knowledge of services and parts.
- Assist management in customer care, work order and register assistance, facility maintenance, and Outside Purchase (OP) ordering.
- Follow policies related to cash, credit, checks, refunds, and returns. Collaborate with management to address customer service issues, complaints, and business opportunities.
- Perform routine express automotive services such as tire mounting, balancing, rotations, oil changes, fluid top-offs, lubrications, filter and bulb replacements, battery installations, and vehicle inspections.
- Implement and uphold safety procedures, ensuring services like wheel torque and fluid changes meet operational standards.
- Partner with management to maintain a safe and healthy work environment compliant with all laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and customers; interpret and apply information appropriately.
- In designated locations, may be responsible for opening and closing duties as a secondary key carrier.
- Maintain an organized and clean shop environment.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety, and environmental protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Driver's License.
- At least one year of experience in the automotive service environment.
- One year of sales experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions; ability to apply these in calculations related to commissions and discounts.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
