Job description

Automotive Customer Service Advisor - Arlington Truck Center

This position is responsible for driving business growth by improving operational efficiency and consistency in the customer vehicle repair process, adhering to Mei Group’s diagnostic and repair protocols. The role involves working in a call center environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service.
  2. Drive sales of technicians' time to meet departmental forecasts.
  3. Prioritize required services and provide options upon request.
  4. Keep customers informed about completion times, expenses, and potential changes.
  5. Ensure customers have a positive dealership experience.
  6. Monitor vehicle approval processes for mechanical warranty and manage vehicle dispatching as needed.
  7. Collaborate with other departments on vehicle quality issues.
  8. Verify vehicle warranty coverage by examining records.
  9. Update service records to communicate effectively with customers.
  10. Explain estimates, obtain customer approvals, and handle questions and concerns.
  11. Arrange towing and temporary transportation when necessary.
  12. Use reports and analyze trends to identify repair needs and ensure standards are met.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Previous Service Advisor experience is a plus.
  • Automotive knowledge or training is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Driven, confident, persistent, and with a positive attitude.
  • Strong work ethic and stable work history.

This position includes monthly performance bonuses after 90 days.

Work Requirements:

  • Complete training in customer service and production processes.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with basic computer skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED.

Working Conditions:

  • May require walking or standing for extended periods.
  • Work in a call center environment, with indoor and outdoor conditions, including noise and weather challenges.

Job Details:

  • Full-time, day shift, Monday to Friday, with weekend availability during peak periods.
  • Compensation: $17 - $18 hourly, depending on experience.
  • Location: Arlington, TX 76011 (reliable commute or relocation required).
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license.
