Experis Technology Group is seeking an Automotive Corrosion Engineer in Auburn Hills, MI. The role focuses on identifying corrosion risks, validating performance, and driving corrective actions across NA vehicle programs.

Responsibilities include leading corrosion validation activities, guiding material and coating choices, and collaborating across engineering, quality, and manufacturing to resolve issues. Onsite role with immediate start potential.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 5+ years in automotive corrosion or related areas.
• Knowledge of galvanic, crevice, pitting, atmospheric, and mixed-material corrosion.
• Familiarity with accelerated corrosion testing and SAE, ASTM, ISO, or VDA standards.
• AMPP/NACE certification and EV/battery enclosure or mixed-material vehicle experience is a plus.

Our Client is seeking an Automotive Corrosion Engineer. You’ll help strengthen vehicle durability by identifying corrosion risks early, validating corrosion performance, and driving effective corrective actions across North American vehicle programs.

Job Title: Automotive Corrosion Engineer

Location: Auburn Hills, MI (Onsite)

Pay Range: $27 - $32 per hour

What's the Job?

• Identify corrosion risks through design reviews, material selection, testing, and failure analysis.
• Lead component and vehicle-level corrosion validation and corrective-action activities.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Materials, Metallurgical, Corrosion, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of automotive corrosion, materials, durability, or vehicle-testing experience.
• Knowledge of galvanic, crevice, pitting, atmospheric, and mixed-material corrosion.
• Familiarity with accelerated corrosion testing and SAE, ASTM, ISO, or VDA standards.
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional problem-solving skills; automotive OEM or Tier 1 experience preferred, with AMPP/NACE certification and EV/battery enclosure or mixed-material vehicle experience a plus.
