Capgemini is seeking a Corrosion Engineer to support automotive corrosion prevention, validation, and issue resolution across North American vehicle programs. The role partners with engineering, materials, quality, manufacturing, suppliers, laboratories, and proving grounds to improve long-term vehicle durability.

Key responsibilities include identifying corrosion risks, leading validation and CA activities, and providing guidance on metals, coatings, plating, fasteners, joints, and protection

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Materials, Metallurgical, Corrosion, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of automotive corrosion, materials, durability, or vehicle-testing experience.
• Knowledge of galvanic, crevice, pitting, atmospheric, and mixed-material corrosion.
• Familiarity with accelerated corrosion testing and SAE, ASTM, ISO, or VDA standards.
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional problem-solving skills.
• Automotive OEM or Tier 1 experience; AMPP/NACE certification; EV, battery enclosure, or mixed-material vehicle experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify corrosion risks through design reviews, material selection, testing, and failure analysis.

Lead component and vehicle-level corrosion validation and corrective-action activities.

Provide technical guidance for metals, coatings, plating, fasteners, joints, and protection systems.

Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Materials, Metallurgical, Corrosion, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.

5+ years of automotive corrosion, materials, durability, or vehicle-testing experience.

Knowledge of galvanic, crevice, pitting, atmospheric, and mixed-material corrosion.

Familiarity with accelerated corrosion testing and SAE, ASTM, ISO, or VDA standards.

Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional problem-solving skills.

Automotive OEM or Tier 1 experience; AMPP/NACE certification; EV, battery enclosure, or mixed-material vehicle experience.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $20.34/hour - $31.78/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
