Job summary

TechDigital Group is seeking a software engineer to design, implement, test, and document changes to in-house automotive control tools. You will work under the Vehicle Controls Tools Technical Specialist to support calibration data management across platforms.

The role requires strong C programming, experience with Unix/Linux, GDB, and Postgres, plus ability to communicate clearly with global teams. On-site work in the US is expected with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in C with embedded control systems context.
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience in Unix/Linux environments and OS-level programming.
• Familiar with Postgres and SQL databases.
• Hands-on debugging with GDB and toolchains.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, code, and test planned changes to software tools alongside the Vehicle Controls Tools Specialist.
• Follow change control processes to bring approved changes to resolution.
• Provide user support globally via phone, email, Webex, instant messaging, and direct interactions.
• Create and manage user accounts and access controls.
• Develop and deliver training material for the Ford community.
• Document changes in user manuals and media.
• Participate in User Forum meetings.
