Job summary

HTC Global Services is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Controls & Test Automation team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. You will develop tools and frameworks to automate testing of automotive infotainment and related vehicle technologies, including Python libraries and test infrastructure.

You will build, maintain, and improve automation scripts, pipelines, and test libraries, collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile Scrum environment to deliver reliable test solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in object-oriented analysis and design, multithreading, algorithms, and data structures.
• 2+ years of experience in Python development; coursework and/or research may be considered.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to root-cause problems creatively and effectively.
• Experience developing Python-based automation test scripts, libraries, tools, and test infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software tools and automation features that support automated testing while following established engineering best practices.
• Develop and maintain test libraries that interface with vehicle ECUs, test management systems, and defect tracking systems.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to convert manual test cases into automated tests.
• Develop and maintain automation configurations and execution pipelines for test collateral and tools.
• Collaborate with development teams and manual test teams to understand testing requirements and implement the necessary tools and test scripts.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, identify regressions, and maintain alignment with team standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing solutions and propose innovative approaches to unresolved testing problems.
• Contribute to team deliverables through participation in Agile Scrum development sprints.
