Advantage Technical in Dearborn, Michigan is seeking a Controls Manufacturing Engineer to support automotive manufacturing launches onsite. You will develop processes, tooling plans, and production layouts while leading tooling installation and startup activities across U.S.

and international sites. The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, automotive manufacturing experience, and strong skills in project management, communication, and 3D CAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
• Automotive manufacturing engineering experience is required.
• Controls and electrical engineering experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with automotive assembly, machining, tooling, or production facilities.
• Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and 3D CAD systems.
• Ability to travel extensively throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, including Sharonville, OH and Kentucky.

Responsibilities

• Support new product launches for automotive assembly and component manufacturing operations.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, tooling plans, and production layouts.
• Collaborate with engineering, product development, logistics, and supplier teams.
• Lead tooling installation, startup, commissioning, and launch support activities.
• Identify and resolve manufacturing, assembly, machining, and tooling issues.
• Conduct 3D CAD reviews and analyze manufacturing feasibility for new designs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Document lessons learned and implement corrective actions for future programs.
