Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• 3-5 years of electronic/electrical engineering experience.
• Automotive industry experience required.
• Willing to travel to customer sites, including industrial plants.
• Strong knowledge of electrical control systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve causes of electrical and mechanical malfunctions on all equipment.
• Assist maintenance with installing new electronic/electrical control equipment and making it operational.
• Develop specifications for electrical control systems and equipment modifications.
• Provide technical support to maintenance; plan, direct and record periodic electrical analysis on production equipment.
• Recommend modifications or replacements to meet operating standards.
• Provide training for maintenance on machine controls and motor controllers.
• Research and implement cost-effective upgrades to equipment and facilities.
• Maintain up-to-date electrical drawings and schematics; keep backups for machine programs.
