Job summary

Yanfeng US Automotive Interior Systems I LLC is seeking a Controls Engineer (Architecture) to design and support electrical control systems for production equipment. The role focuses on programming PLCs, upgrading HMIs, and ensuring robust electrical designs in automotive environments.

Responsibilities include diagnosing faults, installing new control equipment, and developing specifications while collaborating with maintenance and engineering teams. Travel to customer sites may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
Experience with automotive electrical control systems preferred.
Willingness to travel to customer sites and plants.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve causes of electrical and mechanical malfunctions on all equipment.
Assist maintenance in installing new electronic/electrical control equipment.
Develop specifications for electrical control systems and equipment modifications.
Provide technical support to maintenance; plan and record periodic electrical analysis on production equipment.
Recommend and initiate modifications or replacement of equipment failing to meet standards.
Provide training on operation and diagnostics of machine controls and motor controllers.
Research and implement cost effective upgrades to equipment and facilities.
Maintain electrical drawings and schematics; keep master backups for machine programs.
Develop programming and support for PLCs, robots and Panel Views.
