Automotive Component Production Associate

PeopleReady of Campbellsville, KY is now hiring Automotive Component Production Associates in Harrodsburg, KY!

In this role, you'll help manufacture and assemble components used in vehicle interiors and seating systems. You'll operate production equipment, inspect finished parts and work with a team to meet daily safety, quality and production goals. In other words, you'll help make the pieces everyone depends on but nobody thinks about until one of them squeaks.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $16 - $16 / hour*

What you'll be doing as an Automotive Component Production Associate:

• Perform assigned production and assembly tasks
• Operate manufacturing equipment according to established procedures
• Load, position and remove materials during the production process
• Assemble or finish automotive components
• Inspect parts for defects and verify that quality standards are met
• Follow standardized work instructions and production requirements
• Identify and report equipment, material or quality concerns
• Complete required production documentation
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
• Work with team members to meet daily production expectations
• Perform other production-related duties as assigned

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

• Comfort performing repetitive production tasks
• Ability to stand, move, bend, reach and handle materials throughout the shift
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
• Availability to work assigned shifts and scheduled overtime
• Previous manufacturing or assembly experience is helpful but not required
• High school diploma or GED
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to follow standardized work instructions and safety procedures
• Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, twist and reach as required
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements
• Ability to grip, handle and position automotive components
• Ability to frequently lift or move 5-15 pounds
• Ability to regularly lift or move 20-30 pounds
• Ability to handle items weighing more than 30 pounds with mechanical assistance or help from another team member
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced production environment
• Ability to identify and report defects, equipment problems or process abnormalities
• Ability to work assigned shifts and required overtime
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
• Previous automotive-manufacturing, production or assembly experience
• Experience operating production equipment or using basic hand tools
• Experience inspecting components for defects or quality concerns
• Familiarity with standardized production processes
• Strong attention to detail and basic problems
• Background check and drug test required
