Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. in San Jose is seeking a Communications Systems Architect to define and execute a networking technology roadmap for automotive networking products.

You will collaborate with business and technical teams and work with FPGA designers to prototype networking functions and protocols. The role involves modeling in-vehicle networks, QoS, and clock recovery, and participating in standards development.

Qualifications

• Minimum BS in Electrical, Communications or Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience; MSCE/MSEE preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Ethernet and related protocols (IEEE 1722, TSN/AVB, PTP, MACsec).

Responsibilities

• Define technology roadmaps for ADI’s automotive networking products with the business and technical teams.
• Develop prototypes of networking functions/products with FPGA designers.
• Lead design of new protocols for audio, video and data transport and protocol conversions.
• Model performance of in-vehicle networks, including QoS and clock recovery.
• Support standards engagement by contributing to standards-development organizations.
