Qualifications

• This role requires prior professional auto body or collision repair experience.

• Certification like I-CAR, ASE, OEM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor and major automotive collision repairs.
• Repair and replace damaged body panels and components.
• Perform frame and structural repairs as required.
• Complete dent repair and metal straightening.
• Remove and replace doors, fenders, quarter panels, hoods, bumpers, and related components.
• Perform welding and metal repair procedures.
• Disassemble vehicles and identify additional or hidden collision damage.
• Reassemble vehicles following completed repairs and repair plans.
• Follow OEM and manufacturer repair procedures.
• Verify panel fit, alignment, and operation.
• Communicate additional repair needs to estimators and management.
• Work closely with painters, estimators, and parts personnel.

Diehl Collision of Ford City is seeking an experienced, motivated Automotive Collision Technician / Auto Body Technician to join our professional collision repair team in Ford City, Pennsylvania.

Collision Technician Responsibilities

As an Automotive Collision Technician, you will be responsible for restoring damaged vehicles to proper condition while maintaining high standards for quality and safety.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform minor and major automotive collision repairs
• Repair and replace damaged body panels and components
• Perform frame and structural repairs as required
• Complete dent repair and metal straightening
• Remove and replace doors, fenders, quarter panels, hoods, bumpers, and related components
• Perform welding and metal repair procedures
• Disassemble vehicles and identify additional or hidden collision damage
• Reassemble vehicles following completed repairsFollow repair estimates and approved repair plans
• Follow OEM and manufacturer repair procedures

• Maintain accurate repair documentation
• Keep tools and work areas clean, safe, and organized
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining quality standards

Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced automotive professional who takes pride in producing high-quality collision repairs.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Previous professional auto body or collision repair experience
• Experience with structural and cosmetic automotive repairs
• Knowledge of automotive frame and body repair procedures
• Welding and metal repair experience
• Experience with vehicle disassembly and reassembly
• Ability to use collision repair tools and equipment
• Ability to read and follow repair estimates and repair procedures
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy collision center
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Valid driver's license

I-CAR, ASE, OEM, or other collision repair certifications are a plus.

Candidates with experience as a Collision Technician, Auto Body Technician, Body Shop Technician, Automotive Body Technician, Frame Technician, Collision Repair Technician, Body Repair Technician, or Automotive Restoration Technician are encouraged to apply.
