TALENT Software Services is seeking an Automotive Coatings Materials Engineer to develop and optimize decorative finishes for OEM vehicle programs. The role blends materials science with coating chemistry and process engineering to deliver robust coating solutions for automotive applications.

The engineer will collaborate with Engineering, Product Development, CMF, Quality, and suppliers to meet performance, appearance, and durability targets across multiple model launches.

Qualifications

• Deep materials science expertise with coating chemistry focus.
• Experience developing, validating, and optimizing coating materials and processes.

Responsibilities

• Specialize in functional coatings; create specs with targets; advise on applications; perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with paint/coatings suppliers to develop new tech and color options.
• Create or modify material/commodity standard specifications.
• Participate in new model launches, color development, and material validation changes.
• Provide technical direction for coatings/decorative finishes; drive sustainable material innovations.
