Job summary

LaFontaine Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Certified Service Technician to join our high-paying dealership team with a tiered pay plan, longevity bonus, and on-the-job training to help you advance. Technicians, trainees and apprentices are welcome, with opportunities to grow across a wide range of brands and service specialties.

Competitive compensation is based on experience and ASE certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Michigan mechanic certification required.
• One state certification required.
• Knowledge of Mazda, Hyundai, and Volkswagen preferred.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders and assign work in stall area.
• Perform repairs per repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Diagnose malfunctions and authorize repairs.
• Coordinate with Parts Department to obtain parts.
• Document work performed and communicate status.
• Road-test vehicles and ensure customer concerns are addressed.
