EXPERIENCED LEVEL 2 OR 3 AUTOMOTIVE CERTIFIED SERVICE TECHNICIAN

The Position:
Performs vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. Specializes in brakes, steering/suspension, drivability, and electrical repairs along with general repair work.

Skills, Qualifications, and Expectations:

Education and Experience:
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Professional personal appearance

- Ability to meet company's production and quality standards
- Michigan mechanic certification
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receive repair orders and perform work efficiently and accurately
- Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
- Tag, save, and return parts as needed
- Advise service advisor of additional work or issues
- Document work performed
- Road-test vehicles to ensure repairs address customer complaints
- Perform quality checks
- Attend training and stay updated with factory bulletins
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and adhere to safety policies
- Follow regulations governing service repair work
- Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Occasionally walk, sit, and communicate
- Frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds
